EATALIAN TALKS – ENNIO MORRICONE: ARRANGEMENTS FOR POP MUSIC

ENNIO MORRICONE – EATALIAN TALKS (297 x 297 mm)

ON OCCASION OF THE SCREENING OF THE FILM “ENNIO: THE MAESTRO” AT THE ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL NEW ZEALAND 2026

A JOURNEY THROUGH ENNIO MORRICONE’S COMPOSITIONS FOR ITALIAN POP MUSIC

Before becoming the legendary composer of Oscar-winning soundtracks, Ennio Morricone was a revolutionary architect of Italian pop music. In the 1960s, working for the RCA Italiana record label, he transformed popular songs into orchestral and experimental masterpieces, introducing avant-garde sounds to pop contexts.

In the ninth event in the Eatalian Talks series, you will discover the most famous songs of the 1960s, arranged or composed by Morricone for famous performers of Italian pop music, such as Gianni Morandi, Mina, Jimmy Fontana, Edoardo Vianello, and Gino Paoli.

An extraordinary talent, capable of introducing sounds, choirs, brass sections, strings, and musical phrasing that were modern for their time and remain relevant today.

A light lunch, Peroni 0.0 non-alcoholic beer, and beverages will be offered to all participants.

Free admission. Reservations are recommended on our Eventbrite website HERE
