The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair and International Cooperation, in collaboration with Sky Arte and TIWI, is making available through the Italian Cultural Institute a mini-series of 4 subtitled documentaries to delight the international audience with a focus on the sites, the artists and the masterpieces of Italian contemporary arts. The series is titled Italia Contemporanea, 4 episodes of 20 minutes each directed by Andrea Calderone and curated by Nicolas Bellario.
Episod 1: Metropolis (Museo del Novecento in Milan, Maxxi in Rome, Museo Madre in Naples and MAMbo in Bologna)
Episod 2: Open Air (Igloo Fountain in Turin, Tuttomondo in Pisa, Ago, filo e nodo in Milan and Grande cretto by A. Burri in Gibellina)
Episod 3: Old and new (Turin City of the Contemporary, PirelliHangarBicocca in Milan, Cavallo di sabbia in Paestum and Collection Peggy Guggenheim in Venice)
Episo 4: Off road (Calamita cosmica by G. De Dominicis in Foligno, Centro Arte Contemporanea L. Pecci in Prato, Stazione dell’Arte in Ulassai-Nuoro and Il Giardino dei tarocchi di N. de Saint Phalle in Pescia Fiorentina).
