The Australian World Orchestra returns to the Sydney Opera House in 2018 for their annual concert series, this time bringing legendary Italian Conductor Maestro Riccardo Muti of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to the conductor’s podium for two exhilarating concerts.
The Istituto is collaborating in the promotion of the concerts, and on the 5th of April it hosted a presentation at its premises with Alexander Briger, Artistic Director, and clarinettist and Board Member of the AWO Francesco Celata. The artists have performed some music pieces and talked about their experience with the Orchestra and with Maestro Muti.
The Australian World Orchestra brings together Australia’s elite musicians from the international stage, from orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the LA Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony and our own great state orchestras.
Hear 100 of Australia’s finest musicians perform Brahms’ ‘radiant and bucolic’ 2nd Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s ‘life-affirming’ 4th Symphony and a Verdi surprise.
