The sixth edition of Fare Cinema will be held from 12 to 18 June 2023. The event organized by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, was firstly launched in 2018 with the aim of providing worldwide audiences with an insight of the Italian film industry.
On the occasion of the 2023 edition, the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is pleased to present UNA CLAUSTROCINEFILIA (2022) by Alessandro Aniballi and ONDE RADICALI (2021) by Gianfranco Pannone, two documentaries especially selected by MAECI for its global network, from the 2022 edition of the PerSol (Perugia Social Film Festival) where they obtained a significant response from critics and audiences alike.
ONDE RADICALI (Radical waves): A radio that contributed to freeing Italy from taboos and prejudices is the protagonist of this documentary. The historical voices of Radio Radicale tell their story and bring to life the journalistic and political adventure that began in 1976.
