Introductory Masterclass on Italian Diction led by Italian actress Diana Höbel

The lesson, free of charge, is open to all our students, members, and anyone curious about the Italian language. It is a concrete opportunity to improve language skills, offered to all our friends who are passionate about Italian.

The lesson will be conducted in Italian. A minimum A-level knowledge of Italian is required.

Program

First Part

  • Basics of diction (vowels, the difference between open and closed “o/e,” consonants, and vowel/consonant clusters)
  • Practical exercises in pronouncing vowels and consonants

Second Part

  • Reading aloud excerpts from books by famous authors, with analysis of different prose styles and prosodies (intonation, stress, etc.)

Duration: approximately 50 minutes

Biography
Diana Höbel
Actress, playwright, and director, trained at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi. She collaborates with major Italian and international theaters, alternating her acting work with the creation of original projects that combine literature, history, and music. Her melodramas and theatrical works have been presented at prominent festivals and cultural institutions, including Amici della Musica di Modena, Hangar Teatri, and the Benetton Foundation. She is also active in cinema, radio drama, and theater education.
