The Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with The Grand Tour Europe, is pleased to invite you to

the fourth appointment of the Free Virtual Guided Tours series,led by Mario Berardi.

 

 

This virtual tour explores the life and masterpieces of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the brilliant artist who shaped the visual identity of Baroque Rome. Sculptor, architect, and theatrical genius, Bernini transformed marble and space into instruments of emotion and spectacle, creating some of the most celebrated works of the seventeenth century.

 

Through this digital journey we will discover his extraordinary creations in the St. Peter’s Basilica, including the monumental Baldachin and the spectacular colonnade embracing St. Peter’s Square. The tour will also explore his dynamic sculptures, where stone seems to move and breathe, revealing the dramatic power and spiritual intensity that made Bernini the undisputed genius of the Baroque age.
