23rd Week of the Italian Language in the World
As part of the events held on the occasion of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation which this year reached its 23rd edition, the Italian Embassy in Canberra, the Consulate of Italy of Brisbane, the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney and Co.As.It./ILC Brisbane organize the 8th National Conference of Italian teachers in Australia.
The Conference will take place on Saturday 21 October 2023 at the All Hallows School in Brisbane, starting at 9:00.
As every year, while adhering to the usual criteria of language teaching and training, the works of the Conference will be inspired by the theme of the Week of the language, namely Italian and sustainability.
The study day will be inaugurated by a greeting from the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Paolo Crudele, which will be followed by the inaugural address by Prof. Monica Barni of the University for Foreigners of Siena and speeches by academics and experts in the language sector. During the afternoon, 6 workshops will also be held in which Italian teachers from primary and secondary schools from all over Australia can participate.
