Animal Lovers

Exhibition of photos by Diana Bagnoli

Within the Head On photo Festival

The Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is pleased to renew in 2017 its collaboration with the Head On Photo Festival by presenting on its premises Diana Bagnoli‘s photo exhibition Animal Lovers.

Animal Lovers wants to focus on the relationship between humans and animals, special friendships that bring joy in their daily life. Nirvana has had her goose since she was 12 and she is the only one who can touch her end even hug her. Chiara has been fascinated by rabbits since she was a child, and now has a special farm in the north of Italy with dozens of pedigree rabbits. Aida works for a car dealer with her parrot and Monica has been living with a couple of alpacas, who she considers her friends, since the age of four. Francesca feels very confident with her best friend, a boa, and Lorena is an activist for “Animal SOS”, dedicating her life to save animals from abusive situations. She is now she is taking care of Baby until she finds a proper home. She rescued her from intensive farming, where she would have most probably been turned into cat food. Ricky too, the Italian vegan mechanic, during the Easter period tries to help avoiding the massive lamb massacre, subtracting them from intensive farming as much as he can.
