Of Love and Friendship
The Istituto Italiano di Cultura is renewing in 2019 its fruitful collaboration with the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, proposing a new cycle of screenings called Of Love and Friendship, which will include movies produced in the last years which will touch upon themes that are certainly very familiar to the majority of viewers.

Leo is 16 and not very willing to study. He wants to declare his feelings for Beatrice, the red-headed girl who goes to his same high school. He is madly in love and tries to approach her many times but he never succeeds. He will finally manage to ask her out but Beatrice will never go back to school because leukemia has poisoned her blood and compromised her future. Shocked yet determined, Leo decides to take care of Beatrice and carry her through her sickness, developing a strong friendship that encompasses darkness and light. In between a football match and a bad grade to improve, Leo will learn about life, love and death.
