
The Italian Cultural Institute Sydney is delighted to present an evening of classical guitar with acclaimed Italo-Australian guitarist Tommaso Girotto on 7 May 2026 at 6:00pm.
This special concert offers a rich and evocative journey through the classical guitar repertoire, spanning European and contemporary traditions. With a performance style shaped by studies across Australia, the United Kingdom, and Germany, Girotto has established himself as a distinctive voice in the classical music scene. He has performed as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House and recently appeared as guest principal guitarist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
The program features pieces from Isaac Albéniz, Tōru Takemitsu, Johann Sebastian Bach (Suite in C minor, BWV 997, arranged by the performer), Francis Poulenc, and Astor Piazzolla, culminating in a vibrant and expressive musical experience. The evening will also include a special surprise by the artist.
