Originally from Rome, Carlotta Centanni is a highly acclaimed jazz singer and songwriter. A deeply soulful performer with a range of emotion reflecting her love and passion for nature and humanity.
Carlotta’s debut at the La Palma jazz club in Rome launched her music and television career in Italy and started her collaboraton with renowned musicians all around the world. She recently won an Award for ‘Best International Student of NSW’ for her dedication to the help of children in need.
After having launched her first album Respiro at the Basement in 2012, Carlotta is now launching her second album, Rome to the Land of Australia, a compilation of original compositions dedicated to the country that she now calls her home and her heart. The album was recorded in Rome in 2016 with her Italian band and comprises music composed in Australia between 2012 and 2014. At the Sydney launch she will be accompanied by a quartet of local, acclaimed jazz musicians:
