NEWS: Upcoming dates for the CILS (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language) exams<\/strong><\/p>\n

Would you like to certify your knowledge of Italian?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Sydney will host the certification exams for levels B1 and B2 on 16 June 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

REGISTRATION OPEN FROM 7 APRIL TO 6 MAY 2026<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The registration deadline is set by the Universit\u00e0 per Stranieri di Siena<\/em><\/strong> and is therefore non-negotiable.<\/p>\n

How to register<\/strong><\/p>\n

To register, you must send the following documents to the language course coordinators of the Institute:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

via email: studenti.iicsydney@esteri.it<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

or by post: Istituto Italiano di Cultura \u2013 Sydney, 4\/125 York Street, NSW 2000<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Required documents:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CILS application form completed in capital letters: name, place, and date of birth must match exactly those on your identity document (if you have previously taken a CILS exam, include your registration number).<\/p>\n

A clear photocopy of a valid identity document (passport or ID card).<\/p>\n

After submitting your application and ID document, you will receive an email with instructions on how to pay the exam fee.<\/p>\n

Do not make any payment before receiving the confirmation email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Together with the confirmation email, you will also receive confirmation that the exam will take place. Exams will be held only if a minimum of 6 candidates per level is reached.<\/p>\n

The exams will take place at the Institute\u2019s premises (4\/125 York Street, Sydney CBD) on a single day.<\/p>\n

Exam results<\/strong><\/p>\n

Results will be published approximately 2 to 4 months after the exam date.<\/p>\n

You can check your results on the website<\/a> of the Universit\u00e0 per Stranieri di Siena<\/em> by entering your registration number and date of birth.<\/p>\n

Candidates are strongly advised to keep their registration number, which will be provided on the day of the exam.<\/p>\n

If you do not pass part of the exam<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a section of the CILS exam is not passed, candidates may retake it in a subsequent session within 18 months of the first exam date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT:<\/u><\/strong> Candidates with specific needs (e.g., physical or cognitive disabilities) are requested to inform us at the time of registration and provide medical documentation.<\/p>\n
