Course contents<\/strong>
\nTopics \u2013 unit 1: introductions and greetings; unit 2: introducing myself and people around me; unit 3: ordering food.
\nGrammar and lexicon \u2013 the Italian alphabet, personal pronouns, verbs essere, avere<\/em> and chiamarsi<\/em>, definite and indefinite articles, adjectives (nationalities), the singular and plural forms of nouns, of adjectives and of articles, demonstrative and interrogative pronouns, cardinal numbers from 0 to 100, regular verbs ending in -are, -ere, -ire<\/em>, simple prepositions in, a<\/em>.
\nCourse outcomes<\/strong>
\nBy the end of this course, learners will be able to:
\n1. spell Italian names and nouns, introduce themselves and people around them, ask about someone\u2019s origins and linguistic background, ask personal information.
\n2. provide their address and telephone number, communicate their tastes, ordering food at the restaurant and at the cafe.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

This course is for those who have no prior knowledge of Italian language or for those who need to revise language contents from this level.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nGrammar and lexicon \u2013 revision of previous contents, verbs andare, giocare, leggere, uscire, potere, venire,<\/em> adverbs of frequency, simple prepositions, mi piace\/mi piacciono,<\/em> cardinal numbers starting from 100, nouns and adjectives agreement, c\u2019\u00e8\/ci sono<\/em>, asking time.
\nCourse outcomes<\/strong>
\nBy the end of this course, learners will be able to:
\n1. read texts, listen and comprehend audio-visual sources on leisure, know how to book a hotel room, provide information on how to reach a place.
\n2. talk about leisure, about their personal tastes and preferences, describe places, describe an apartment, describe a place and explain how to reach it.<\/p>\n

\n1. read texts, listen and comprehend audio-visual sources on topics related to past events, holidays, purchases in food stores, Italian typical products, recipes.
\n2. talk about past events, talk about holidays, talk about someone\u2019s food purchase and eating habits, describe a shop, share recipes.<\/p>\n
