Vivacissimo Suono Italiano Sydney. Yearly Music Program of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Sydney

The Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is pleased to launch a new series of concerts called Vivacissimo Suono Italian Sydney, a cycle that will extend to the cities of Canberra and Brisbane and will present important innovations, while giving a sense of continuity to the music promotional activity of this Institute. As with the previous editions, in fact, the new cycle will see the participation of both young musicians that the Institute intends to support in their international career, as well ad of well-known international artists. This prestigious concert season will be offered to our public thanks also to the collaboration with CIDIM - Italian National Music Committee, an organization founded in 1978 with the aim of contributing to the development and promotion of Italian classical and contemporary music abroad.

The first concert of the series will feature soprano Elisa Iovéle Del Bianco and pianist Nicola Della Santina, who will present a program of music by, among others, Tosti, Bellini, Donizetti, Mascagni, Verdi and in particular Rossini, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the death of the great composer from Pesaro.

del bianco 3Elisa Iovéle Del Bianco was born in Trieste (Italy) in 1987. In 2015 she obtained a Master degree cum laude in Opera Singing at the J. Tomadini Conservatory of Music in Udine, with the role of Violetta (Traviata, Verdi). In 2016 she won and made her debut in the same role, performing in the Arena Montecroci of Messina with an excellent cast. In 2017 she was selected as “best young professional singer to represent Italian excellence in the world", a project promoted by the Fondazione Friuli and CIDIM. She also won the World Tour "Italian Sound-Friuli in Music" and performed in Lima, San Salvator de Jujuy, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Addis Ababa, Mexico City, at the Chicago Cultural Center and in Albania, always recording a great success with both the public and critics. She has also performed in several important events in Italy and abroad such as the Slovenian Parliament of Ljubljana (Slovenia) in 2010 and the Euromusic Festival of Vienne (France) in 2015.

Nicola Della Santina was born in Viareggio, Tuscany. In 1989 he graduated in Principal nicola della santina foto 2Piano at the P. Mascagni Conservatory of Music of Livorno. In 1993 he graduated in Modern Literature with a thesis on the History of Theatre. He continued his studies in Composition and Piano with U. Ferrario. He specialized in conducting with Piero Bellugi and Lior Shambadal. He has held over 200 concerts as a piano accompanist. He has been maestro collaborator and répétiteur at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa and the Puccini Festival of Torre del Lago. He is currently Artistic Director of "Giovani all'Opera", an organization of High Musical Excellence based in Rome that hosts prestigious international opera names, collaborating as a pianist with great artists such as: A. Stella, D. Dessì, C. Colombara, F. Cedolins and F.M. Carminati.
