Lecture by Prof. Alex Frino (University of Wollongong) 

Alex Frino will be undertaking a detailed review of the performance of the Italian economy and markets over the last decade. His review will include a detailed examination of the Euro and interest rates, economic growth, unemployment, real estate and stock market performance. The talk will be of interest to Australians with money, property or business interests in Italy as it will also examine the implications of economic and market performance for Australian business interests.  

alex frino abcAlex Frino is a distinguished economist who promotes collaboration between economic circles and international academic communities. He is a former student of the University of Wollongong and Cambridge University (UK) and he also joined the Fulbright Program as a researcher. He is one of the most highly regarded academics in the world, with over one hundred publications in financial magazines. He was C.E.O. of Capital Markets CRC, a research foundation of the Australian Federal Government established in collaboration with twenty of the most important financial companies in the world. He has held important academic positions in universities in Italy, United Kingdom, United States of America and New Zealand. He has also received numerous offices from leading financial market organizations including the Sydney Futures Exchange, Credit Suisse and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in the U.S.A.
