vitelloni 2I vitelloni (1953)

Cast: Franco Interlenghi, Alberto Sordi, Franco Fabrizi, Leopoldo Trieste

Plot: Five young men dream of success as they drift lazily through life in a small Italian village. As Fausto chases a string of women, to the horror of his pregnant wife, the other four blunder their way from one uneventful experience to the next. Screened in competition at the 14th Venice International Film Festival, the film was awarded the Silver Lion by Italian poet Eugenio Montale, who headed the jury.
