New Italian Cinema

logo controluceThe cultural promotion carried out by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney continues also outside the State of NSW, this time in collaboration with the Associazione Controluce based in Rome. We are therefore pleased to present a new film festival focused on some of the most recent Italian film productions.

The cinema series, entitled New Italian Cinema, will be curated by the film producer and curator Christian Pazzaglia and the Roman director and screenwriter Antonio Falduto. The former recently curated and directed the Bangalow Film Festival in collaboration with the Institute. A successful event, with eight Italian titles scheduled, and which used the original drive-in formula for the inauguration, also adopted to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
