The 6th WEEK of ITALIAN CUISINE in the WORLD reaches its sixth edition, the project strongly endorsed by MAECI (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) which, through a myriad of focused events, brings the excellence of Italian gastronomy to the World.
This year the theme of the Week, which will take place from 22 to 28 November, is "Traditions and perspectives of Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability".
To celebrate good taste at the table, the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney proposes two events in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the ICE Agency of Sydney

With the aim to broaden the offer to the public for one of the most important events of the year, the Institute also proposes a series of three video-stories, produced in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Canberra and with the Association Ponte tra Culture of Ancona, chaired by Gianluca Barbadori, in which three actors tell the story of a prestigious wine brand, that of Chianti Gallo Nero, and that of the accidental birth of two products of gastronomy, simple but refined and very popular in Italy: Turin breadstick and Genoese farinata.
The three historical episodes are told in English by David Westgate (Chianti Gallo Nero), Giorgios Gavridis (Grissino) and Harry Dean (Farinata) and the videos are directed by Gianluca Barbadori. The choice of subjects was made in line with the theme of the 2021 Week and specifically that of Chianti for the awareness and therefore the defense and enhancement of Italians D.O.C. and those of Grissino and Farinata, for the promotion of simple and traditional products, sustainable and of the highest quality.
The videos will be available on the Institute's YouTube channel starting from 22 November.
The media will also be available, albeit in a "reduced" version (audio only) from the same date on the radio station of ENIT (Italian National Tourism Organization) HERE
