Bangalow Film Festival 2022

Bangalow Film Festival 2022

bff logo stackedAfter the postponement caused by the pandemic, the Bangalow Film Festival returns for the second edition, extended in 2022 also to Murwillumbah and Lismore, always with the support of the IIC which has since the very beginning encouraged this interesting initiative in line with the desire to implement the promotion of Italian culture also in extra urban and rural places in NSW.

The new edition will be curated again by Christian Pazzaglia, who together with two residents of the tourist town near Byron Bay - Lyn McCarthy and Ben Alcock - worked to establish the Bangalow Film Festival LTD, the body that oversees the event.

From 8 to 14 April at the Showground and A&I Hall in Bangalow, as well as in Lismore andchef antonio Murwillumbah, an international cinema program will be presented, with a significant Italian presence which includes a national premiere, Picciridda (Alone with her dreams) by Paolo Licata in addition to the already known Chef Antonio's recipes for revolution by Trevor Graham. The program also includes Little Tornadoes which sees among the protagonists the well-known anchorwoman Silvia Colloca.

The Bangalow Film Festival will then have an extension in June with a series of round tables that will see some experts in conversation on the theme "Sustainable little tornadoesfuture", about which we will give updates.

Christian Pazzaglia is an internationally active multidisciplinary curator and producer who has collaborated with entities such as Sydney Opera House, ACMI, NFSA, Sydney Film Festival, Dark Mofo, IDFA, Art Basel, EYE Amsterdam, Van Gogh Museum, M + Hong Kong, Pro -Helvetia, Goethe-Institut and Alliance Française.
