Another Italy: stories, relationships and emotions in Italian cinema at the beginning of the millennium
2022 marks the eighth consecutive year of fruitful collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute and the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, the cultural hub of Liverpool City Council.
A collaboration that is expressed with the organization of film series that have contemporary Italian production as their focus.
This year, the series is entitled Another Italy: Stories, relationships and emotions in Italian cinema at the beginning of the millennium with a clear reference to the now consolidated choice of proposing a series of feature films that can give a vision of our country at the dawn of second decade of this third millennium.
Kryptonite! (Ivan Cotroneo, 2011, 98’)

Kryptonite! is an 2011 Italian comedy film directed by Ivan Cotroneo set in Naples. Peppino, a young boy, faces problems after his mother finds out about his father's affair. Things become more difficult for him when his cousin, who is his best friend, dies in a car accident.
Before the movie a pre-recorded presentation with Federico Spoletti and film director Ivan Cotroneo will be screened.
