HOME LIFE exhibition, Design Canberra Festival

design festival logoThe Home Life exhibition brings some of the biggest names of the Made in Italy contemporary design to Australia to tell the evolution of living through our home and household objects.

How has our home changed in recent years? How has contemporary living evolved and what directions are our domestic habits taking?

The Home Life exhibition, curated by Elisabetta Pisu, aims to answers these questions. It launches in Canberra on October 27, as part of the Design Canberra Festival, the event now in its ninth edition, which celebrates design, art, crafts and industry.

Elisabetta Pisu investigates the evolution and the radical transformation that our way of living has undergone in recent years, through 20 selected design objects, which embody the concepts of comfort, sustainability and multi-functionality.home life

In this exhibition, design is an effective tool to understand how our social habits, trends, needs and desires have changed and, with them, the objects we surround ourselves with, and, ultimately, the house we live in.

The exhibition is organized with the support of: Embassy of Italy Canberra, Italian Cultural Institute Sydney. In collaboration with: Craft + Design Center and Design Canberra Festival. Partner: Consortium for the protection of the Prosecco controlled designation of origin.
