Head On International Photo Festival 2022

logoThe Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney is pleased to confirm its ten-year old collaboration with the Head On Foundation, which each year organizes the Head On International Photo Festival.

The Head On Photo Festival is an annual international photography festival based in Sydney, Australia, showcasing emerging and established photographic artists. It was founded in 2004 by Moshe Rosenzveig OAM with the first Head On Portrait Award. The Festival takes place in multiple venues, including public and commercial galleries and open-air public spaces.

As with past editions, for IIC the ultimate goal of the partnership is the participation of Italian photographers in the exhibition.

2022 sees the participation of six photographic collections, those of the photographers Daniele Cascone (The inner room), Antonio Faccilongo (Habibi), Gabriele Cecconi (TiàWuk), Matteo de Mayda, Vanessa Vettorello and Mauro De Bettio.

As usual, one of the artists exhibits in the premises of the Institute: this year it is the turn of Daniele Cascone while Faccilongo, Cecconi and de Mayda will exhibit in Bondi and Vettorello and De Bettio, finalists at the Head On Landascape Award, will exhibit at the Festival spaces in Paddington.

We are also pleased to report that Matteo de Mayda is a finalist for the Head On Landascape category and Mauro De Bettio andd. cascone imitation of two telamones Vanessa Vettorello are finalists for the Head On Portrait category.
