The Bangalow Film Festival returns from the 30th of April to the 4th of May, offering a diverse program of exclusive international and Australian films, documentaries and live events. Held at the historic A&I Hall, this festival brings world-class cinema to the heart of the community, providing a unique cultural experience in the beautiful Byron Bay region.
The Italian Cultural Institute Sydney is delighted to co-present the Opening Night of the festival, featuring the Australian Premiere of Milano: The Inside Story of Italian Fashion on Sunday, 4 May. The evening will be introduced by Christian Pazzaglia, the festival’s Artistic Director, who has carefully curated a dynamic program to showcase exceptional cinema from around the world.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker John Maggio, Milano explores the rise of Italian fashion, delving into the personal stories of iconic designers and the creative revolution that transformed Milan into a global fashion capital. Featuring interviews with leading figures such as Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Helen Mirren and Sharon Stone, the documentary provides an in-depth look at the cultural and economic impact of Italian fashion.
