We are happy to share the next event in the Eatalian Talks series taking place on Tuesday 13th October 2026 from 12.30 to 1.10 pm at our Institute, featuring Australian-Chinese tenor Kang Wang and celebrating the enduring international appeal of Italian Opera.
Kang Wang will share insights into his career, his connection with the Italian operatic tradition and his upcoming performances in some of the great works of the Italian repertoire, including Verdi’s I due Foscari at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in 2027.

About Kang Wang
Australian-Chinese tenor Kang Wang is one of the most sought-after young lyric tenors in the opera world. A former member of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and finalist in the 2017 Cardiff Singer of the World competition, he has performed leading roles at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Teatro di San Carlo, Bavarian State Opera and Opera Australia. His 2026/27 season includes debuts at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Warsaw National Opera, as well as performances of La bohème in Melbourne. Originally from Harbin, China, Wang trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and Queensland Conservatorium.
