Sydney Restaurant Group and the Italian Cultural Institute are pleased to present the third event of the Gusto d’Italia: Art & Dine Series, a string of magical evenings set to explore the great relationship between art, food and wine through cleverly crafted Italian regional menus and wines, while also enjoying a unique and captivating art experience.
The third and last event of the Series is dedicated to the flavours of the Veneto Region, home of the magnificent city of Venice, and to their special relations to a glorious tradition of seafood and game cuisine. The dinner will be hosted at Noi Restaurant in Petersham on Tuesday the 26th of September. An exclusive, multiple course menu with perfectly paired wines will lead you on a memorable journey in the privileged company of an inspiring art presentation.
During the event, leading Australian visual artist, Desmond Freeman will display a series of artworks from his Venice collection, including his book Venice: Impressions in Ink, which attracted international attention, winning the Gold Medal in the Fine Art Books section at the Independent Publisher Book Awards in New York from 5000 entries from around the world.
These vibrant, highly detailed drawings, sometimes of whole sections of Venice, sometimes of facades or intimate architectural details, illustrate the diversity of the city’s magnificent architectural range.
