The 32nd edition of the Mardi Gras Film Festival 2025 returns to various Cinemas around Sydney from 13th till the 27th of February and on Demand from the 28th of February till the 12th of March, celebrating queer cinema. With 140 films, including one Italian movie, the festival is all about celebrating and sharing the collective love of cinema.

Mariasilvia Spolato’s life is changed forever when she becomes the first Italian woman to come out publicly in 1972. Facing discrimination and persecution, I’m Not a Nobody is a stirring story of resilience, determination and standing up for what you believe in no matter the cost. Spanning over thirty years, the film documents the joy and struggle of fighting for your right to exist, cementing Mariasilvia firmly in the history books.
