CONDITIONS

Enrolments

Courses will start only if a sufficient number of enrolments is reached (6 students per course - maximum number: 16 students). Courses may also run with a lower number of students, in which case the number of hours will be reduced as follows:

  • 5 students: 20 hours
  • 4 students: 16 hours

Payment
Enrolments are accepted all year round. However, we strongly recommend to finalize the enrolment as soon as possible, as some courses fill up very quickly.

Entry test
With the exception of complete beginners, students who have studied Italian elsewhere wishing to enroll into a higher level will be required to undergod a short entry test to determine which course is most suited to their level. Tests will be submitted/sent to prospective students upon requests or can be downloaded on top of this page.

Student card
All the students attending Italian language courses at the Institute are entitled to obtain a student card for the duration of the course that will allow them to borrow from our book and DVD library for FREE. Should the student wish to obtain a one year membership, which will allow him/her to access all the other benefits of the IIC membership, he/she is entitled to a 50% discount, thus paying only $30 (instead of the usual $60 fee).

Scholarships
The Italian Cultural Institute offers tu its students scholarships to attend short Italian language courses in Italy. For more information click HERE.

Reimbursements
A full refund will be given if a course is cancelled due to insufficient enrolments. Once the course has begun, fees cannot be refunded or transferred. The Istituto cannot be held responsible for any changes in personal circumstances.

Rescheduling of classes
Under exceptional circumstances - usually related to a cultural event held at the Institute - we reserve the right to reschedule classes according to the students' and the teachers' needs.
